Morgen beginnt meine Sprachschule.
I've reached the main place for the next time: VictoriaIt is said that this city has gotten an English touch. That's right, but only partly. When I was on the bus, in Downtown, got out for the first time really aware that I'm on a different continent. Also right in the city center I noticed again how friendly and happy conversation are Canadians. There are alone in the city so as to discover so I do not even know where to start at all.
1.British Columbia Parliament Building: There are daily guided tours and in the evening it is illuminated by thousands of lights.
2.Emily Carr House: She was a famous painter and writer of the country and you can visit her house with a guided tour.
3.Inner Harbour: It is the historic center and the harbor at the same time. From here you can start tours to choose from sightseeing, admire the yachts or shopping at the impressive souvenir stalls.
4.Beacon Hill Park: This is just one of many parks in Victoria, but he is very nice and there some animals live among other hawks therein. Until September 11 music events are still held daily.
5.Craigdarroch Carstle: There is a four-storey villa in neongotischen style (this style comes here very often before) and an elegant Victorian decor. Since I am very interested in architecture this is obviously high on the list of things I want to do.
6.Royal British Columbia Museum: It look incredibly impressive.
On the side are totem poles, life-size dinosaurs footprints are immortalized in the concrete in front of the entrance, a small adventure tour is in front of the building and next to it are a few houses in English Gingerbread or San Francisco Victorian-called architectural style.Behind the museum I found until mid-September, the Trucks were converted to street stalls and where you can get something to eat. One of these trucks even offered to vegan taco shells, which I was very excited. Unfortunately, the food tasted very artificial, so I could not finish it.In my apartment I have already ventured to the stove, as I found in the supermarket, in the suburbs, almost nothing there but just fries with a vegetable mixture from the freezer. As might be expected, this is also not particularly taste.I'm going (had the supermarket no VEGAN margarine) a Biomarkt to vegan margarine the next few days in the city center, cacao (cocoa was made and will be delivered within the next three weeks), egg replacer and rice flour, for my delicious, homemade vegan chocolate chip cookies to . Buy I was very surprised that this supermarket had a GM-free and organic soymilk. As we know it in most American films / programs, you can buy everything here only in family packs. Of course this is impractical for my single household. With the purchase of sugar you could choose between 2kg and 5kg.Tomorrow begins my language school. It will be interesting from which countries the students come and whether German-speaking are.
